The discovery provides a very clear picture of the continuous human activity in the central camp, and it also unearthed a series of cultural relics closely related to modern behavior.
The discovery of the Grandmother Temple Site is further connected with a large number of paleolithic sites that have been investigated and excavated at the southeastern foot of Songshan Mountain in recent years.
The sites are distributed along both sides of the ancient river and have their own relatively independent areas of activity. The new discovery confirms that there was a flourishing paleolithic culture and complex dwelling form in the Central Plains as early as 30~50 000 years ago.
