Total foreign trade value of Zhengzhou exceeded 600 billion yuan 2022

It’s learned from the Zhengzhou Bureau of Commerce that last year, the city's total trade in goods import and export to complete 606.97 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 3.1%, accounting for 71.2% of Henan’ s total trade, overfulfilled the annual target of 5911 billion yuan. Zhengzhou’ s export was 359.63 billion yuan, up by 1.3% year on year; the imports reached 247.34 billion yuan, up 5.8 percent year on year.

The total volume of imports and exports ranked fifth among provincial capitals in China and first among central cities for 11 consecutive years.

It is understood that since last year, the Municipal Bureau of Commerce has adopted precise policies to promote the stability and innovative development of the city's foreign trade, organized and participated in major economic and trade exchange activities, and helped enterprises to explore the international market.

Statistics shows that the foreign-invested enterprises are still the main force of foreign trade in Zhengzhou, accounting for 59% of the total import and export volume. Private enterprises continue to grow strongly, with imports and exports reaching 225.29 billion yuan, up 10% year on year. State-owned enterprises have great potential, up 41% year on year.

The processing trade reached 470.21 billion yuan, accounting for 77.5% of the city; the general trade import and export reached 116.42 billion yuan, accounting for 19.2% of the city, with a year-on-year growth of 21%. The mix of commodities is more optimized. The proportion of import and export of mechanical and electrical products and high-tech products kept rising. The import accounted for 91.2% and 78% of the city respectively, and the export accounted for 81.2% and 73.6% of the city respectively. The main categories of import and export commodities were electronic components, electronic technology, computer and communication technology, mobile phones, audio and video equipment and parts, flat panel display modules, etc.

In the next step, the municipal commerce department will cultivate new trade growth points, strengthen reform and innovation, and promote the integration of trade and production and the integration of domestic and foreign trade. They will implement and optimize policies and measures to support foreign trade, comprehensively increase assistance to foreign trade enterprises and promote the application of RCEP trade rules to help enterprises explore the international market.
