Zhengzhou Confucion Temple is located in the east section of Dongdajie Street and near to the Town's God Temple. If the city god temple is full of the atmosphere of human life, that Confucian temple represents scholarliness of Zhengzhou.

郑州文庙位于东大街东段路北，靠近郑州城隍庙。如果说城隍庙充满着人间烟火的气息，那文庙就是属于郑州的书卷气。

 

 

With a history of nearly two thousand years, Zhengzhou Confucion Temple was built in the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220) during the reign of Yongping. It has the longest recorded history, covers the largest area and has the largest scale of ancient buildings.

郑州文庙始建于东汉明帝永平年间(58～75)，距今已有近两千年的历史，是郑州有史记载的历史最久、占地最广、规模最大的古建筑群。

 

 

After a continual historical transition, the main building of Confucian temple named Dacheng Hall we see today mainly concentrated in the Ming and Qing dynasties.

几经兴毁，我们看到的文庙主体建筑，主要集中在明清时期，即主体建筑大成殿。

 

 

At the beginning of the New Year, Confucian temple is also filled with a festive atmosphere.
