Yellow River Scenic Area
Yellow River Scenic Area is located 30 kilometers (19 miles) to the northwest of the Zhengzhou City with the torrential Yellow River in the north and the towering Yue Mountain in the south, which is 5.5 kilometers (3.4 miles) long from north to south and 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) wide from east to west with more than 600,000 trees, pavilions and hills around it. Seen from the high position, sometimes the torrential Yellow River rushes by with rising and falling waves. However, sometimes it flows slowly when it reaches the wide and endless plains that extend for thousands of miles, which are very splendid. Yellow River Scenic Area is a famous attraction for its long-standing cultural relics and grandeur natural sceneries, there are: the Five Dragons Peak, the Yueshan Temple, the Stone Figures of Yandi and Huangdi, the Camel Mountain Scenic Spot and the Ancient City of Liu Bang and Xiang Yu in the area, with the Five Dragons Peak as the central attraction.
Getting there
It is located 30 kilometers (19 miles) to the northwest of the Zhengzhou City, so you can take a shuttle bus from any of Zhengzhou Bus Station to get there directly. And you can take a public bus No. 322 from the Medical College of Zhengzhou to there directly. It is open to the public from 08:10 to 18:00 every day and you are recommended for at least two hours.
