Zhengzhou International 郑州月季史你知道多少？

In March 1983, the Third Session of the Seventh Zhengzhou People's Congress of approved the confirmation of taking Chinese rose as the city flower. Then starting from the following year, a rose party is held in May each year ( from 1995 to 2004 is a 10-year break )

1983年3月，郑州市第七届人民代表大会第三次会议批准，确定月季花为郑州市市花。从第二年开始，每年5月举行一次月季花会(1995年至2004年中断了10年)。

At the end of the 20th century, Zhengzhou once again enhance the efforts on Chinese rose development in parks, gardens, green land in the streets, government organs, enterprises and public institution,family courtyards,parterres.New exploration has made on the shape and match of Chinese roses, a new variety of Chinese rose in clusters replace the single plant.During the second China International Fair in May 2007, Zhengzhou resumed the holding of the 13th Chinese rose Festival. By 2019, 25 sessions of the Zhengzhou rose Show have been held.

20世纪末，郑州再次加大发展市花月季的工作力度，公园、游园、街头绿地、机关企事业单位、家庭院落、花坛花带都大量栽植培育月季。在月季造型和配置上进行新的探索，改单株栽植为成片成簇种植月季新品种。2007年5月第二届中博会期间，郑州恢复举办了第13届月季花会。截至2019年，郑州市月季花展已经举办了25届。

In 1984, the first "rose road” was born in Zhengzhou. Roses were planted on both sides of the Zhongyuan Road in Erqi District.

1984年，郑州市第一条“月季”路诞生。二七区将中原路人行道两侧花坛植月季花。

In 1988, the 106-meter-high Huang He Ping Building (later known as "Greenland Hotel") appeared on the south side of the railway station square, becoming the tallest building in Zhengzhou then. The name of "Huang He Ping" is taken from the classic Chinese rose breed,which has oval bud and high flower cores.

1988年，高106米的黄和平大厦(后称“格陵兰大酒店”)出现在火车站广场南侧，成为郑州最高建筑。“黄和平”的名字，便取自经典月季品种，高心卷边蕾卵形。

Zhengzhou residents may have an impression of a cigarette named "Huang He Ping" on which the logo pattern is Chinese rose in full bloom.

老郑州人或许有印象，郑州卷烟厂推出了一款名为“黄和平”的香烟，烟标图案即为盛开的月季花。

In April 2005, located at the north side of Zhengzhou West Railway Station, the Chinese Rose Park was built and opened to the public for free as the main venue of the First Chinese Rose Exhibition.

2005年4月，位于郑州西站路北侧的月季公园建成，并作为首届中国月季展览会的主会场向市民免费开放。

The Rose park is the first theme park in Zhengzhou which owns different types of Chinese roses over 300,000 plants. There is a variety named Rosa Chinensis viridiflora or green hydrangea macrophylla, is a rare kind in the world.

月季公园是郑州市第一个花卉主题公园，有各种不同类型的月季30万株，品种达1200个。其中品种“绿萼”也称“绿绣球”，是世界稀有的绿色月季。

The tree-shaped Chinese rose in Green belt of West Zhongyuan Road was introduced in 2011.When it first bloomed in the streets, it was praised by the citizens for its big and colorful flowers.

中原西路分车花带中的树状月季，是2011年引进的新品种，当它第一次在郑州街头绽放的时候就因为花朵大、花色艳丽受到市民好评。

The Chinese rose also became an indispensable part of our lives in zhengzhou.

月季，也成了咱郑州人生活中不可或缺的部分。
