The Pagoda forest of Shaolin Temple boasts the largest in China
The Pagoda forest of Shaolin Temple is located about 250 meters west of shaolin Temple. It is the graveyard of venerable monks in past dynasties, covering an area of more than 21,000 square meters. There are more than 220 brick pagodas built from the 7th year of Zhenyuan In the Tang Dynasty (791) to the 8th year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1803).
少林寺塔林位于少林寺西约250米,为历代德高望重僧侣的墓地,占地约2.1万余平方米。现存有从唐代贞元七年(791年)至清代嘉庆八年(1803年)的砖塔220多座。

On November 20, 1996, the Shaolin Temple tower forest was announced by The State Council as a national key cultural relics protection unit. On August 1, 2010, the "Middle of Heaven and Earth" historic buildings, including the Shaolin Temple tower Forest, were inscribed on the World Heritage List by UNESCO at the 34th World Heritage Conference
1996年11月20日,少林寺塔林被国务院公布为全国重点文物保护单位。2010年8月1日,包括少林寺塔林在内的“天地之中”历史建筑群,被联合国教科文组织第34届世界遗产大会列入世界文化遗产名录。
