Zhongyue Temple in Dengfeng

Zhongyue Temple is located at the foot of Taishi Mountain at the southern foot of Songshan. According to huanggai Peak in the north, facing the jade case mountain, the west is expected to face the ridge, east muzi gang, surrounded by mountains, careful layout, magnificent scale, red wall yellow tiles, resplendent.

中岳庙位于嵩山南麓的太室山脚下。北依黄盖峰，面对玉案山，西有望朝岭，东有牧子岗，群山环抱，布局谨严，规模宏伟，红墙黄瓦，金碧辉煌。

Zhongyue Temple, with a total area of 110,000 square meters, is the crown of zhongzhou ancestral temples and is known as the "Imperial Palace in heaven". It is the largest and well-preserved ancient architectural group in the Five Mountains and the largest and most complete ancient architectural group in Henan Province.

中岳庙总面积11万平方米，为中州祠宇之冠，有“天中故宫”之称，是五岳中现存规模最大、保存较完整的古建筑群，也是河南省现存规模最大、最完整的古代建筑群。

In 2001, Zhongyue Temple was announced by The State Council as a national key cultural relics protection unit. On August 1, 2010, the "Heaven and Earth" historic buildings, including Taishuque and Zhongyue Temple, were inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List at the 34th World Heritage Conference.

 

2001年，中岳庙被国务院公布为全国重点文物保护单位。2010年8月1日，包括太室阙和中岳庙在内的“天地之中”历史建筑群，被联合国教科文组织第34届世界遗产大会列入世界文化遗产名录。
