Zhengzhou Olympic Sports Center 郑州地标建筑@奥林匹克体育中心

Taking the overall design idea of "the center of Heaven and Earth, the Yellow River coming from the heaven", Zhengzhou Olympic Sports Center, with a total construction area of 584,000 square meters, is constructed into a "品" pattern, where stadium, gymnasium and swimming pool stand firm forming north-south symmetry, just like three stone islands, and the surrounding structures are like swirling water of the Yellow River. "The center of heaven and earth" refers to the circular and square shape of the stadium, gymnasium and swimming pool, implying the harmony and preciseness in traditional Chinese culture. At the same time, it echoes the "square inside and round outside" layout of the ancient city of Shang Dynasty, reflecting the profound historical and cultural deposits of Zhengzhou City.

郑州奥体中心整体设计理念取“天地之中、黄河天水”之意，采用“品”字形格局，以东西向为主轴，形成南北对称的布局，体育场、体育馆、游泳馆像黄河中的三座石岛，而周围的环境就像黄河水一般盘旋，总建筑面积达58.4万平方米。“天地之中”即体育场、体育馆与游泳馆造型方圆中正，暗喻天圆地方之意，同时与商都古城外圆内方的格局相呼应，体现郑州深厚的历史文化底蕴。

It was also the first time that Henan Province had won such an international award in the field of engineering construction.

2018年11月14日，在美国拉斯维加斯举办的“2018全球工程建设业卓越BIM大赛发布会”上，郑州奥体中心项目，获得了施工类大型项目组最佳应用奖全球第三、中国区第二的好成绩，这也是河南省在工程建设领域首次获得该类国际性大奖。
