福寿街,顾名思义就是保佑大家多福多寿,而这条老街确如其名,存在了百年之久,也算是一位多寿的老人了。
At the end of the Qing dynasty, Fushou street was still a desolate wilderness with few people. Since 1904, as the two major railway intersects in Zhengzhou, goods from all over the country made it as a distribution center, especially near the station, cotton firms have sprung up like mushrooms.
清朝末年,福寿街还是一片人烟稀少的荒凉旷野。自1904年开始,随着两大铁路相继在郑州交会,各地货物大都以此为集散地,特别是车站附近的棉花商行雨后春笋般多起来。

这一片荒凉之地很快被开发成商贸区,地皮迅速被商贾们定购一空。从南向北,盖起许多棉花商行、饭店、客栈、酒店、南北货、杂货店铺、货栈、盐店等商铺,形成商业性街道。
