A 73-year-old specially-appointed professor works as a volunteer

Counting the packed lunches, picking up the boxes and loading them into the tricycle, heaving the boxes on the tricycle bodies and transporting to students’ dormitories, these serious of quick actions was from Prof. Hu Gengshen, an off-staff volunteer from Zhengzhou University,who is agile and energetic, unlike a 73-year-old man.

Prof. Hu Gengshen is the founder of ecological translation, the first-grade professor of Tsinghua University and the specially-appointed professor of the School of Foreign Languages and International Relations of Zhengzhou University,who enjoys a high reputation at home and abroad.

After the National Day Holiday, the campus was closed-off due to the epidemic. Prof. Hu has been living in the office to adhere to scientific research and teaching activities, and request for joining the team of food-delivery volunteers. In view of Professor is advanced in years, his request is refused.How ever, Prof. Hu's has a resolute attitude, He says "As a Party member, I must be up and doing ", finally he became a member of teacher volunteer.

These days, Prof. Hu, like other young volunteers, keeps fighting on the front line of food delivery. Seeing the students get three meals a day, biscuits, fruit and other rich food, seeing the warm care of the school to every student in every building, he was very happy, and felt that no matter how hard and tired it was worth it.

Whenever someone advised him to take a rest, Prof. Hu always said that glowing stars formed a galaxy, and there are no bystanders in epidemic prevention and control.
