National events 丨火炬“心向”实地传递在郑州开启新旅程
At 8 a.m. on September 7, thousands of people sang Love My China on the Ruyi Lake Square in Zhengzhou, grand and festive, echoing in the air. After 121 days of online torch relay, the offline torch relay for the 11th National Traditional Games of Ethnic Minorities started here.
9月7日上午8时，郑州市如意湖广场上千人齐唱《爱我中华》，雄壮的歌声在空中回荡，民族团结喜庆的氛围愈发浓郁。经过121天的互联网火炬传递后，第十一届全国少数民族传统体育运动会城市实地火炬传递从这里出发。
The torch was carried by 123 torchbearers, starting with 89-year-old veteran Zhang Lixiu. 56 of them, representing 56 ethnic groups, passed the torch in succession with the other 67 ones, symbolizing the close unity of the 56 ethnic groups like pomegranate seeds to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
火炬从89岁的战斗英雄张利修手中开始，共由123棒火炬手传递。火炬手中有56棒由56个民族代表担任，他们与其余67棒各界火炬手交替传递，寓意56个民族像石榴籽一样紧密团结在一起，共同庆祝新中国成立70周年。
The 8.7-kilometer torch relay course started from Millennium Plaza, International Convention and Exhibition Centre and Henan Art Center and ended at Erqi Memorial Tower via the 3,600-year-old Shang Dynasty Ruins, Memorial Pavilion of Chairman Mao’s Visit to Zhengzhou and other famous sceneries in Zhengzhou.
本次城市实地火炬传递共8.7公里。从郑州新地标千玺广场、国际会展中心、河南艺术中心出发，途经距今3600年的商城遗址、毛主席视察郑州纪念亭等郑州地标景观，最终抵达收火点——郑州二七纪念塔下。
Along the route of the torch relay, Zhengzhou residents cheered on both sides of the road, celebrating and welcoming the event with performances full of ethnic features.
在火炬传递途中，道路两侧的啦啦队，以及充满民族风情的表演，表达了郑州人民对这场民族盛会的庆祝和欢迎。
At 10 a.m., a red sea appeared under the Erqi Memorial Tower in Zhengzhou. The 123rd torchbearer, Zhang Gaiping, an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of Henan Agricultural University, arrived at the Erqi Square and lit the cauldron under the Erqi Memorial Tower, marking the end of the torch relay of the 11th National Traditional Games of Ethnic Minorities.
上午10点，郑州市二七纪念塔下成了一片红色的海洋。随着第123棒火炬手——中国工程院院士、河南农业大学校长张改平进入二七广场，在二七纪念塔下点燃圣火盆，第十一届全国少数民族传统体育运动会城市实地火炬传递进入收火仪式。
The torch relay conveyed the vision of great national unity and the joint efforts to achieve Chinese dream, and ignited hundreds of millions of Chinese people's passion for striving forward and never forgetting their original aspiration.
火炬传递了民族大团结、共筑中国梦的美好愿景，点燃了亿万华夏儿女不忘初心、砥砺前行的奋斗激情。
At the end of the ceremony, the escort runner led the fire into the lantern. The torch will be lit at the opening ceremony of the 11th National Traditional Games of Ethnic Minorities on September 8, kicking off the nine-day and quadrennial event.
仪式最后，护跑手将火种引入火种灯。9月8日，圣火将在第十一届全国少数民族传统体育运动会开幕式上点燃主火炬，开启四年一届、为期9天的全国少数民族传统体育盛事。
