The long-awaited 11th National Traditional Games of Ethnic Minorities of the People’s Republic of China kicked off in Zhengzhou with a grand opening.
万千期待、万众瞩目中，第十一届全国少数民族传统体育运动会在郑州隆重开幕了。
The Opening Ceremony is always a highlight to demonstrate a sucessful sports event, raising the most curiosity of the society. On the evening of Sept. 8th, Zhengzhou Olympic Sports Center was overflowed with colorful light, offering an incredible feast for your eyes.
一届成功的大型运动会，开幕式演出往往是重头戏，让人无比期待。9月8日晚，整个奥体中心体育场流光溢彩，美轮美奂。
Looking up, the sky seemed low, projected with bright light accompanying with dynamic music, creating a lively nightsky scene; inside the venue, people from different ethnic groups sang songs and danced, showcasing their proud and distinctive ethnic nature; on the grandstand was an eyeful of light sticks, Chinese national flags and flags of the Games, and audiences could not stop giving their hurrah and applause one after another.
看空中，天幕低垂，光随声动，别具巧思;望内场，载歌载舞，尽展各民族风采;看台上，国旗会旗荧光棒相映成辉，掌声呐喊声欢呼声此起彼伏。
Brothers and sisters of 56 nationalities, from the Yarlung Zangbo River bank next to the “Roof of the World”, the oases on the south and north sides of Tianshan Mountain, the grassy plain in Hulun Buir, and other places around the country, met in Zhengzhou Olympic Sports Center, with their gratifying achievements.
从世界屋脊下的雅鲁藏布江畔，从天山南北的大漠绿洲，从呼伦贝尔的辽阔草原……带着各民族繁荣发展的累累硕果，56个民族的兄弟姐妹相聚在郑州奥体中心的舞台。
The performance was filled with impressive moments. “Praise the Chinese”, “Wonderful Henan”, “Embrace Dream”... the theme of the gala – “All Chinese ethnic peoples unite as one and join hands to strive forward into the new era” was fully shown from different perspectives.

This is the first comprehensive national sports event after socialism with Chinese characteristics enters a new era and before the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, which plays a significant role in promoting the Chinese nation’s unity and progress and all-in fitness undertaking, carrying forward the excellent national traditional culture, and enahncing the contact, exchange, amalgamation and mutual learning of different ethnic groups.

From boundless grasslands, southern frontiers, lofty Kunlun Mountain and surging Yellow River, 56 ethnic groups get together in Zhengzhou, like 56 blooming flowers, beautiful and fragrant.
56个民族，从茫茫草原到边南关陲，从巍巍昆仑到滔滔黄河，如同56朵盛开的鲜花，愈加美丽，愈加芬芳。
