Cargo support capacity of Zhengzhou Airport has increased exponentially from 500 thousand tons to 1.1 million tons.

As the annual cargo volume of Zhengzhou Airport has successively broken the mark of 500,000 tons, 600,000 tons and 700,000 tons in recent years, the original Zhengzhou airport cargo terminal overload operation can not keep up with the pace of development.

In the golden autumn season, Zhengzhou Airport cargo terminal is filled with goods from more than 20 countries and regions every day, including milk powder, clothing, cosmetics and other small packages of people's livelihood products, which are measured by tons.

At the same time, a number of full-cargo planes fly side by side, shuttling from Zhengzhou to Luxembourg, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Liege, Kuala Lumpur, Baku and other international airports every day, bringing urgently needed epidemic prevention materials, electronic products, livelihood goods and other goods to China and the rest of the world.

The air route network of Zhengzhou "Aerial Silk Road" is increasingly perfect.There are 31 cargo airlines operating in Zhengzhou Airport, with 48 full-cargo routes operating to 26 countries, 42 international and regional destinations, forming an international route network spanning the three major economic zones of Europe, the United States and Asia which covers the world's major economies with multi-point support.

From "one airline" to "multi-win-win", Zhengzhou Airport welcomes new "customers" constantly.

At about 5 am on September 15 this year, a cargo plane of Cathay Pacific Airways landed in Zhengzhou airport smoothly. Different from the usual imported goods, the cargo plane was loaded with imported Chinese medicinal herbs -- “dragon's blood”. This was the first time that Zhengzhou Airport guaranteed the import of Chinese medicinal herbs, marking the official landing of the import function of medicine at Zhengzhou drug import port.

At present, Zhengzhou Airport has seven ports including fruits, chilled aquatic products, edible aquatic animals, meat, live animals, mail, medicine, and is the inland airport with the largest number of functional ports and the most complete types.

In March this year, Zhengzhou Airport was also approved as a national important international mail hub port, which is the fourth important international mail hub port in China after Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.

With the development of Zhengzhou Aerial Silk Road, the service guarantee advantage of Zhengzhou Airport has gradually become prominent.

Zhengzhou Airport is famous in the industry for its "special cargo" guarantee ability. It has successfully guaranteed live animals such as giraffes, dolphins and kangaroos for many times, and guaranteed the over-limit cargo up to 22 meters long and 43 tons heavy.

To explore and lead the innovative development of the air cargo industry and build a hub economic pilot zone, Henan Airport Group accelerated the promotion of three pilot including electronic cargo, overseas cargo station, "air to air transit" business, to promote the scope of cargo source and distribution to the international extension.

At present, there are more than 50 domestic and foreign cooperative flight points for the "air-to-air transit" project of Zhengzhou Airport. The international flight transit area covers Singapore, Hanoi, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Osaka and other cities in Asia, as well as Luxembourg, Chicago, New York, etc.
