Some people say that architecture is as epic as poems and songs, and others say that architecture is frozen music. In fact, architecture can be said as the most visualized representation of the development speed of a city and even a country.

有人说，建筑如雄浑的诗词歌赋。也有人说，建筑是凝固的交响乐。或许，没有什么比建筑更能直观地反映一座城市乃至一个国家的发展速度。

In recent years, many Chinese and foreign friends coming to Zhengzhou would say approvingly that the city is advancing by leaps and bounds. Their high praise of the modern buildings which are towering and further polish the urban appearance is unconcealable.

这几年，很多中外友人来到郑州，总会竖起大拇指说“日新月异”，语意间流露出对那些拔地而起、改变城市面貌的时尚建筑的赞叹。

Indeed, walking on the streets of Zhengzhou, you will always notice special architecture coming into sight unexpectedly.

的确，每当走在郑州街头眺望，总有意想不到、造型奇特的建筑闯入眼底。

Erqi Memorial Tower

二七纪念塔

Since its completion in October 1971, the Erqi Tower has become the spiritual landmark of Zhengzhou. It is an immortal public artwork, created by Lin Leyi, an architect who was innovative and respected tradition, and rebuilt Huairen Hall and Ziguang Hall.

自从1971年10月落成，二七塔就成了郑州的精神地标。改建过怀仁堂和紫光阁的建筑设计师林乐义，在特殊的时代背景下，站在传统的肩上勇于创新，留给这座城市一件不朽的公共艺术品。

 

Today, the Erqi Tower is still considered by Zhengzhou people to be the most representative landmark of the city, and it has been a must for most Chinese and foreign tourists in Zhengzhou to take photos with the Erqi Tower.

时至今日，二七塔仍被郑州人认为是最具代表性的城市地标。大多数中外游客到了郑州，必到二七塔合影留念。

The Erqi Tower is a dual-tower with a height of 63 meters. In 2006, it was listed as a major historical and cultural site protected at the national level, and is the youngest of its kind in China. In recent years, as the night view lighting project of the Erqi Tower kept progressing, the Erqi Tower with a deep historical and cultural background has become one of the most beautiful places in Zhengzhou at night.

二七塔是双身并联式塔身，高63米，2006年被列为全国重点文物保护单位，也成了中国最年轻的全国重点文物保护单位。近几年，随着二七纪念塔夜景亮化项目的不断推进，这座有着深厚历史文化背景的宝塔，成了郑州夜景最美的地方之一。
