The Ancestor Worship Ceremony at Yellow Emperor’s Birthplace in Guisi Year (2013)

 

 

2013年4月12日，农历癸巳年三月初三上午，备受全球华人关注的癸巳年黄帝故里拜祖大典在新郑市隆重举行。来自海内外的各界嘉宾亲临盛典，拜谒中华民族的始祖轩辕黄帝，共同祈福中华民族伟大复兴。

In the morning of April 12nd, 2013, i.e. the third day of March in Guisi year of the lunar calendar, the ceremony of worshipping ancestors in the hometown of Yellow Emperor in Guisi year, attracting the attention of Chinese all over the world, was held in Xinzheng City. Guests from all walks of life at home and abroad came to the grand ceremony to pay tribute to the ancestor of the Chinese nation, Xuanyuan Huangdi, praying for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation together.

本届大典由河南省人民政府、政协河南省委员会和国务院台湾事务办公室、国务院侨务办公室、中华全国归国华侨联合会、中华全国台湾同胞联谊会、中华炎黄文化研究会主办，郑州市人民政府、政协郑州市委员会、新郑市人民政府共同承办。大典主题为“同根同祖同源，和平和睦和谐”。

The ceremony was hosted by Henan Provincial People's Government, Henan Provincial Committee of China People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, All-China Federation of Taiwan Compatriots and Association for Yan Huang Culture of China, and jointly undertaken by Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government, Zhengzhou Municipal Committee of CPPCC and Xinzheng Municipal People's Government. The theme of the ceremony is "Same Root, Same Ancestor and Same Origin, Peace, Concord and Harmony".

9时50分，大典主司仪宣布癸巳年黄帝故里拜祖大典开始，全体肃立，鸣盛世礼炮21响。在庄严悦耳的乐声中，诸位嘉宾向黄帝像敬献花篮。

At 9:50, the master of ceremony announced that the ceremony of worshipping ancestors in the hometown of the Yellow Emperor in Guisi year began, all stood up, and the salute of the prosperous age sounded 21. In the solemn and melodious music, all the guests presented flower baskets to the statue of the Yellow Emperor.

10时5分，净手上香。

At 10:05, hands were cleaned and incense was burned.

接着，在主司仪的引导下，现场全体人员向黄帝像行施拜礼，深深三鞠躬，气氛庄严肃穆。然后，由许嘉璐恭读拜祖文。

Then, under the guidance of the master of ceremony, all the staff at the scene paid homage to the Yellow Emperor's portrait, bowing three times deeply, in the solemn atmosphere. Then, Xu Jialu read the works of worshipping ancestors.

10时20分，恢弘的音乐响起，由著名歌唱家佟铁鑫、王莉领唱，成人合唱队、少儿合唱队跟随音乐齐声高唱《黄帝颂》，庄重悠扬的歌声唱出了亿万华人缅怀祖先、与祖国血脉相连的心声。

At 10:20, magnificent music sounded, and led by famous singers Tong Tiexin and Wang Li, the adult chorus and children's chorus sang Ode to the Yellow Emperor in unison with the music. The solemn and melodious singing sang the heartfelt wishes of hundreds of millions of Chinese who cherish the memory of their ancestors and are connected with the blood of the motherland.

在接下来的“乐舞敬拜”环节，和着悠扬的乐曲，舞蹈演员用灵动优美的舞姿，向轩辕黄帝表达炎黄子孙的景仰之情。

In the following "Worshiping by Music and Dancing" session, with melodious music, dancers expressed the admiration of the descendants of the Yellow Emperor to Xuanyuan Huangdi with smart and beautiful dancing.

10时30分，“祈福中华”开始。18位优秀炎黄子孙代表，在祈福树上挂起祈福牌。接着，他们登上拜祖台，在拜祖文书法长卷上，用书法、中国印等传统文化元素，表达对祖国民主、富强、文明、和谐及中华民族伟大复兴“中国梦”的深深祈福。

At 10:30, "Blessing China" began. 18 outstanding representatives of the descendants of the Yellow Emperor put up blessing cards on the blessing tree. Then, on the ancestor worship platform, they expressed their deep prayers for the democracy, prosperity, civilization and harmony of the motherland and the "Chinese Dream" of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with traditional cultural elements such as calligraphy and Chinese seal on the long calligraphy scroll of worshipping ancestors.

最后，来自香港、澳门、台湾、郑州的4名儿童走上拜祖台，放飞了手中的彩色气球。在中华民族的复兴之路上，在炎黄子孙的人文始祖面前，他们放飞中华儿女对盛世昌平和世界和平的期盼。

Finally, four children from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Zhengzhou took to the ancestor worship platform and released their colorful balloons. On the road to the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, in front of the humanistic ancestor of the Chinese descendants, they let go of the Chinese people's expectation for prosperity and world peace.

此时，拜祖广场上颂歌飞扬、礼花怒放、金龙吐水、彩球腾空，现场气氛达到了高潮，全场爆发出长时间的热烈掌声。

At this time, carols were flying, fireworks were in full bloom, golden dragons spit water, colored balls were flying, the atmosphere at the scene reached a climax, and the whole audience burst into warm applause for a long time.

10时40分，主司仪宣布，癸巳年黄帝故里拜祖大典告成!

At 10:40, the master of ceremony announced that the ceremony of worshipping ancestors in the hometown of the Yellow Emperor in Guisi year was a success!

来自美国、加拿大、意大利、澳大利亚、匈牙利、波兰、罗马尼亚、尼日利亚、日本、缅甸等20多个国家和地区的数百位海外侨胞，以及各界社会团体、民间组织、友好人士等近8000人参加了大典活动。

Nearly 8,000 people, including hundreds of overseas Chinese from more than 20 countries and regions including the United States, Canada, Italy, Australia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Nigeria, Japan and Myanmar, as well as various social groups, non-governmental organizations and friendly personages, attended the ceremony.
