The Ancestor Worship Ceremony at Yellow Emperor’s Birthplace in Yiwei Year (2015)

 

 

4月21日，农历三月初三，乙未年黄帝故里拜祖大典在新郑市黄帝故里景区隆重举行。来自海内外的各界嘉宾亲临盛典，拜谒轩辕黄帝，共建精神家园，祈福中华民族伟大复兴。

On April 21st, i.e. the third day of the third lunar month, the ceremony of worshipping ancestors in the hometown of Yellow Emperor in Yiwei year was held grandly in the scenic spot of Yellow Emperor's hometown of Xinzheng City. Guests from all walks of life at home and abroad visited the grand ceremony, to pay homage to Xuanyuan Huangdi, build a spiritual home and pray for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

本届大典由河南省人民政府、政协河南省委员会、国务院台湾事务办公室、中华全国归国华侨联合会、中华全国台湾同胞联谊会、中华炎黄文化研究会共同主办，郑州市人民政府、政协郑州市委员会、新郑市人民政府共同承办。大典主题为“同根同祖同源，和平和睦和谐”。

The ceremony was co-sponsored by Henan Provincial People's Government, Henan Provincial Committee of China People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, All-China Federation of Taiwan Compatriots and Association for Yan Huang Culture of China, and jointly undertaken by Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government, Zhengzhou Municipal Committee of CPPCC and Xinzheng Municipal People's Government. The theme of the ceremony is "Same Root, Same Ancestor and Same Origin, Peace, Concord and Harmony".

9时45分，大典主司仪梁国扬宣布乙未年黄帝故里拜祖大典开始，全体肃立，鸣盛世礼炮21响。随后嘉宾们向黄帝像敬献花篮。

At 9:45, Liang Guoyang, the master of ceremony, announced that the ceremony of worshipping ancestors in the hometown of Yellow Emperor in Yiwei year began, all of them stood up, and the salute of the prosperous age sounded 21. Afterwards, the guests presented flower baskets to the statue of the Yellow Emperor.

10时，净手上香仪式开始。嘉宾们虔诚地净手上香。

At 10:00, the hand cleaning and incense burning ceremony began. The guests devoutly cleaned their hands and burned incense.

接着，在主司仪的引导下，现场全体人员向黄帝像行施拜礼，深深三鞠躬，气氛庄严肃穆。

Then, under the guidance of the master of ceremony, all the staff at the scene paid homage to the statue of the Yellow Emperor, bowing three times deeply, in the solemn atmosphere.

随后，恭读拜祖文，表达对黄帝功德的仰慕和追思。

After that, read the works of worshipping ancestors to express the admiration and remembrance of the merits and virtues of the Yellow Emperor.

10时16分，庄严悦耳的音乐响起，在歌唱家领唱下，少儿合唱队齐声高唱《黄帝颂》：“天地玄黄，东方曙光，文明始祖，中华炎黄……”优美的歌声在会场传扬，唱出了亿万华人缅怀祖先、祝福祖国的心声。

At 10:16, solemn and melodious music sounded. Led by the singer, the children's chorus sang Ode to the Yellow Emperor in unison: "The sky is dark blue and the earth is yellow, the dawn is beginning to show in the east, the ancestor of civilization, Yan Huang in China..." The beautiful song spread in the venue, singing out the aspirations of hundreds of millions of Chinese to cherish their ancestors and bless the motherland.

在接下来的“乐舞敬拜”环节，舞蹈演员用灵动的舞姿表达对祖先的崇敬景仰之情。

In the following "Worshiping by Music and Dancing" session, dancers expressed their reverence and admiration for ancestors with smart dancing.

10时25分，“祈福中华”开始，18位优秀代表，在祈福树上挂起祈福牌。接着，他们登上拜祖台，面向黄帝像鞠躬后，在拜祖文书法长卷上用印，以独具中国特色的文化元素，为民族祈福、为复兴喝彩。

At 10:25, "Blessing China" began, and 18 outstanding representatives hung blessing cards on the blessing tree. Then, they boarded the ancestor worship platform, bowed to the statue of the Yellow Emperor, and stamped on the long calligraphy scroll of worshipping ancestors, praying for the nation and cheering for rejuvenation with unique cultural elements with Chinese characteristics.

最后，来自香港、澳门、台湾、郑州的4名儿童，从祈福树下走出，他们代表了炎黄子孙的血脉延续，代表了中华民族的未来希望。

Finally, 4 children from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Zhengzhou walked out of the blessing tree, representing the continuation of the blood of the Chinese descendants and the future hope of the Chinese nation.

10时35分，主司仪梁国扬宣布，乙未年黄帝故里拜祖大典告成。

At 10:35, Liang Guoyang, the master of ceremony, announced that the ceremony of worshipping ancestors in the hometown of the Yellow Emperor was completed in Yiwei year.

美国、加拿大、巴西、俄罗斯、德国、荷兰、西班牙、澳大利亚、马来西亚等30多个国家和地区的海外侨胞、海外姓氏宗亲会代表与社会各界人士一起参加了拜祖大典。(河南日报记者 徐建勋 刘亚辉)

Overseas Chinese from more than 30 countries and regions including the United States, Canada, Brazil, Russia, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Australia and Malaysia, and representatives of overseas clan associations attended the ceremony of worshipping ancestors together with people from all walks of life.
