The Ancestor Worship Ceremony at Yellow Emperor’s Birthplace in Bingshen Year (2016)

 

 

“三月三，拜轩辕。”4月9日，农历三月初三，丙申年黄帝故里拜祖大典在新郑市黄帝故里景区隆重举行。

"March 3rd, worship Xuanyuan." On April 9th, i.e. the third day of the third lunar month, the ancestor worship ceremony in the hometown of Yellow Emperor in Bingshen year was held grandly in the scenic spot of the Yellow Emperor's hometown of Xinzheng City.

本届拜祖大典由河南省人民政府、政协河南省委员会、国务院台湾事务办公室、中华全国归国华侨联合会、中华全国台湾同胞联谊会、中华炎黄文化研究会等单位联合主办，郑州市人民政府、政协郑州市委员会、新郑市人民政府承办。

This ancestor worship ceremony was jointly sponsored by Henan Provincial People's Government, Henan Provincial Committee of China People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, All-China Federation of Taiwan Compatriots, Association for Yan Huang Culture of China and other units, and undertaken by Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government, Zhengzhou Municipal Committee of CPPCC and Xinzheng Municipal People's Government.

大典主题为“同根同祖同源，和平和睦和谐”。

The theme of the ceremony is "Same Root, Same Ancestor and Same Origin, Peace, Concord and Harmony ".

9时45分，大典主司仪林军宣布丙申年黄帝故里拜祖大典开始，全体肃立，鸣盛世礼炮21响。随后，嘉宾向黄帝像敬献花篮。

At 9:45, Lin Jun, the master of ceremony, announced that the ceremony of worshipping ancestors in the hometown of the Yellow Emperor in Bingshen year began, all stood up, and the salute of the prosperous age sounded 21. Later, the guests presented flower baskets to the statue of the Yellow Emperor.

9时58分，净手上香。

At 9:58, hands were cleaned and incense was burned.

接着，在庄严肃穆的气氛中，现场全体人员面向黄帝像，满怀崇敬之情行施拜礼，深深三鞠躬。

Then, in the solemn atmosphere, all the staff at the scene faced the statue of the Yellow Emperor, worshiped with reverence and bowed three times deeply.

随后，恭读拜祖文：“天玄地黄，远古洪荒。蒙昧既启，人类曙光。华夏文明，浩浩荡荡。我祖勋德，万古流芳……”

After that, read the works of worshipping ancestors: "The sky is dark blue and the earth is yellow, and the ancient times are full of wilderness. Ignorance is enlightened, and the dawn of mankind appears. Chinese civilization is mighty and magnificent. Merits and virtues of our ancestors will be remembered throughout the ages..."

10时15分，由80位充满活力的儿童组成的童声合唱团在歌唱家领唱下，和着庄严悦耳的音乐，齐声高唱《黄帝颂》。

At 10:15, a children's choir composed of 80 energetic children sang Ode to the Yellow Emperor with solemn and pleasant music under the lead of singers in unison.

在接下来的“乐舞敬拜”环节，演员们用优美的舞姿表达华夏儿女对先祖的追思和敬仰。

In the following "Worshiping by Music and Dancing" session, the actors expressed the Chinese people's memory and respect for their ancestors with beautiful dancing.

来自海内外的27位优秀炎黄子孙代表，在拜祖广场中枝繁叶茂的祈福树下站立，虔诚地挂上由自己签名的祈福牌。

27 outstanding representatives of the descendants of the Yellow Emperor from home and abroad stood under the leafy blessing tree in the square of worshipping ancestors, and piously hung up the blessing cards signed by themselves.

最后，来自台湾、香港、澳门、郑州的4名儿童，从祈福树下走出，登上拜祖台，放飞手中的和平鸽。

Finally, 4 children from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Zhengzhou walked out of the blessing tree, boarded the ancestor worship platform and released the dove of peace in their hands.

10时35分，在热烈的掌声中，主司仪林军宣布，丙申年黄帝故里拜祖大典告成。

At 10:35, with warm applause, Lin Jun, the master of ceremony, announced that the ceremony of worshipping ancestors in the hometown of Yellow Emperor in Bingshen year was completed.

来自港澳台的嘉宾，来自美国、英国、法国、瑞典、意大利、加拿大、澳大利亚、新加坡、马来西亚等30多个国家和地区的海外侨胞，以及国内社会各界来宾近万人参加了拜祖大典。(河南日报记者朱殿勇徐建勋刘亚辉何可)

Nearly 10,000 people, including guests from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, overseas Chinese from more than 30 countries and regions such as the United States, Britain, France, Sweden, Italy, Canada, Australia, Singapore and Malaysia, and guests from all walks of life in China, attended the ceremony.
