The Ancestor Worship Ceremony at Yellow Emperor’s Birthplace in Jihai Year(2019)

 

 

4月7日，农历三月初三，己亥年黄帝故里拜祖大典在新郑黄帝故里隆重举行。

On April 7th, i.e. the third day of the third lunar month, the ceremony of worshipping ancestors in the hometown of Yellow Emperor in Jihai year was held grandly in the hometown of Yellow Emperor of Xinzheng.

适逢迎接新中国成立70周年，拜祖大典现场洋溢着浓浓的爱国热情。

On the occasion of welcoming the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China, the scene of ancestor worship ceremony was filled with patriotic enthusiasm.

本届黄帝故里拜祖大典延续“同根同祖同源，和平和睦和谐”这一主题，由河南省人民政府、政协河南省委员会、国务院台湾事务办公室、中华全国归国华侨联合会、中华全国台湾同胞联谊会、中华炎黄文化研究会主办，郑州市人民政府、政协郑州市委员会、新郑市人民政府承办。

This grand ancestor worship ceremony in the hometown of Yellow Emperor, continuing the theme of "Same Root, Same Ancestor and Same Origin, Peace, Concord and Harmony", was sponsored by Henan Provincial People's Government, Henan Provincial Committee of China People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, All-China Federation of Taiwan Compatriots and Association for Yan Huang Culture of China, and undertaken by Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government, Zhengzhou Municipal Committee of CPPCC and Xinzheng Municipal People's Government.

9时45分许，大典主司仪宣布己亥年黄帝故里拜祖大典开始，全体肃立，鸣盛世礼炮21响。随后嘉宾向黄帝像敬献花篮。

At 9:45 p.m., the master of ceremony announced that the ceremony of worshipping ancestors in the hometown of Yellow Emperor in Jihai year began, all stood up, and the salute of the prosperous age sounded 21. Later, guests presented flower baskets to the statue of the Yellow Emperor.

接下来，嘉宾虔诚地净手上香。

Next, the guests devoutly cleaned their hands and burned incense.

随后，恭读拜祖文。

Then, read the works of worshipping ancestors.

10时10分，大典进行“高唱颂歌”仪程。童声合唱团齐声高唱《黄帝颂》。

At 10:10, the ceremony was performed with "Singing Carols". The children's choir sang Ode to the Yellow Emperor in unison.

在“乐舞敬拜”环节，演员们身着华服，随着古朴悠扬的乐曲，用灵动的舞姿表达华夏儿女对先祖的追思和敬仰。

In the "Worshiping by Music and Dancing" session, the actors dressed in Chinese costumes, along with the simple and melodious music, expressed the Chinese people's memory and respect for their ancestors with smart dancing.

10时20分，“祈福中华”仪程开始，来自海内外的27名优秀炎黄子孙代表，在祈福树上悬挂祈福牌。

At 10:20, the ritual of "Blessing China" began, and 27 outstanding representatives of Chinese descendants from home and abroad hung blessing cards on the blessing tree.

最后，来自祖国大陆和香港、澳门、台湾以及海外其他国家和地区的7名儿童登上拜祖台，放飞手中的和平鸽，也放飞中华儿女对盛世昌平的期盼，对世界和谐的希望。

Finally, 7 children from the mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and other overseas countries and regions boarded the ancestor worship platform, and released the doves of peace in their hands. They also released the Chinese people's expectation for prosperity and hope for world harmony.

拜祖大典九项仪程全部完成，拜祖广场上颂歌飞扬、金龙吐水、彩球腾空，现场气氛达到了高潮。

After nine rituals of ancestor worship ceremony were completed, carols were flying, golden dragons spit water and colored balls were flying in the ancestor worship square, and the atmosphere at the scene reached a climax.

来自40多个国家和地区的嘉宾、近百家中外媒体记者等约8000人参加了拜祖大典。

About 8,000 people, including guests from more than 40 countries and regions and nearly 100 Chinese and foreign media reporters, attended the ancestor worship ceremony.
