Henan Province, located in the Central Plains, is the major birthplace of Chinese civilization. Its glorious history of more than 5,000 years is renowned worldwide. Shi Ji records that, "Yu the Great used the bronze offered by nine vassal states to make nine ding representing nine states". After unifying Chinese nation, Yu the Great made Yugong Geography of Nine States to set up nine states. Since then, "Nine States" has become a symbol of a "unified Chinese nation".

The 11th China (Zhengzhou) International Garden Expo will be staged on September 29th, 2017, in Zhengzhou, Henan Province.

Nine bridges in different styles in Zhengzhou Garden Expo Park are the embodiment of "nine states having the same heart". And Tongxin Lake, the main lake in the park, implies the good moral that "Chinese nation having the same blood source from Xuanyuan is a unified whole. Nine ding refers to the dominion of nine states, and nine states should always share one heart to realize the Chinese dream".
