Nine Bridges in China (Zhengzhou)International Garden Expo’s Parks

Henan Province, located in the Central Plains, is the major birthplace of Chinese civilization. Its glorious history of more than 5,000 years is renowned worldwide. Shi Ji records that, "Yu the Great used the bronze offered by nine vassal states to make nine ding representing nine states". After unifying Chinese nation, Yu the Great made Yugong Geography of Nine States to set up nine states. Since then, "Nine States" has become a symbol of a "unified Chinese nation".
The 11th China (Zhengzhou) International Garden Expo will be staged on September 29th, 2017, in Zhengzhou, Henan Province.
Nine bridges in different styles in Zhengzhou Garden Expo Park are the embodiment of "nine states having the same heart". And Tongxin Lake, the main lake in the park, implies the good moral that "Chinese nation having the same blood source from Xuanyuan is a unified whole. Nine ding refers to the dominion of nine states, and nine states should always share one heart to realize the Chinese dream".
Jizhou Bridge

Jizhou Bridge, sitting on Zhongzhou Road in the park, is a steel auto arch bridge mainly in dark red. The bridge railings on both sides are made of stainless steel and white marble, and each white marble has Chinese knot patterns with Chinese characteristics in the center.
Yanzhou Bridge

Yanzhou Bridge, a laminated beam arch bridge, is a landscape bridge for pedestrians only. It is a major channel connecting Children Garden and gardens of cities in Central China. The high and dome-shaped Yanzhou Bridge is in red and has 112 steps with each step height varying with the bridge altitude.
Qingzhou Bridge

Qingzhou Bridge has 66 steps in total and 33 steps on each side. The white marble railings on both sides are engraved with blooming lotuses and lifelike stone lions. The bridge looks like a jade belt from the appearance, so
it is also called “Jade Belt Bridge”.Xuzhou Bridge

Xuzhou is known as a “thoroughfare of five provinces” and Xuzhou Bridge also plays a significant role in transportation in Zhengzhou Garden Expo Park. Next to Henan Garden in the north, Macao Garden, Hong Kong Garden and Taiwan Garden in the east, facing Tongxin Lake in the south and bordering Xuanyuan Pavilion and main exhibition gallery in the west, Xuzhou Bridge is an important access over the water in the central area of the park. On the bridge railings, there engraves lifelike “Chinese Zodiac”.
Yangzhou Bridge

Yangzhou Bridge is a vehicular bridge, but it shows a sort of exquisiteness and quietness. Seen from a distance, the round piers are supporting the plate with ease, the cream railings look like two hollow-out jade belts circling around, and there is flowing water under the bridge. Flowers, plants, stones and fish around the bridge create a scenic picture of Jiangnan Watertown in front of you.
Jingzhou Bridge

Jingzhou Bridge is quite distinctive. Its deck is paved with water permeable bricks, and it has shed and ventilating window on the top which can keep out the sun and rain, but not hinder your viewing sight. The design concept of Jingzhou Bridge is taking “Yu the Great set up nine states, and this was the beginning of Jing State”.
Liangzhou Bridge

Liangzhou Bridge is hidden in the green hills and blue waters in the west area of the park, fusing with flowers as a whole. It is a major scenic overlooks footbridge, walking on which, you can take in all the natural water scenery.
Yongzhou Bridge

Yongzhou Bridge is a pre-stressed hollow slab bridge, having beautiful relief on the bridge railings. It sits in the west area of the park and is the first bridge over the water system from west to east, which is as the same as the ancients said, “Yongzhou City is the Dragon Gate.”
Yuzhou Bridge

Yuzhou Bridge is a seven-hole arch bridge and also a scenic overlooks bridge with six observation decks, from which you can see the Urumqi Garden, Wuhan Garden, Main Exhibition Gallery, Xuanyuan Pavilion, Huasheng Pavilion, Binhe Plank and Nanxiang Square. The bridge is engraved with plum blossoms, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum and even the pillars are covered with the pattern of auspicious clouds. Yuzhou Bridge, 70m long and 8m wide, is the major channel over the water linking the main exhibition gallery and main square. The design concept comes from the Rainbow Bridge in Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival, so the appearance of Yuzhou Bridge is similar to a flying rainbow.
