On Nov. 29, the opening ceremony of Origins of Chinese Surnames, a 100-episode documentary about Chinese surname culture, was held in Fanzhai Village, Dengfeng, Zhengzhou.
11月29日，郑州登封范寨村，100集姓氏文化宣传片《启源故事》在这个古村中举行了开机仪式。
Fanzhai Village, where the descendants of the nephew of Fan Zhongyan, a great ideologist, politician and litterateur in the Northern Song Dynasty, live and the profound Fan Family Culture gets inherited, has witnessed Fan Family’s development into a respected and influential clan in Yingyang, Dengfeng in a long history.
范寨村，是北宋时期的思想家、政治家、文学家范仲淹从子后人的聚集地，其后裔传承了悠久厚重的范氏文化，并在历史长河中成为登封颖阳的一大望族。
During the opening ceremony, children in the village recited the Fan Family Mottoand Memorial to Yueyang Tower, the masterpiece of Fan Zhongyan.

Qu Penghui, director of International Communication Office of CPC Zhengzhou Committee, said frankly in the opening ceremony that Origins of Chinese Surnames would tell Chinese stories with Zhengzhou elements so as to showcase five-thousand-year Chinese civilization through surname culture and let the rest world learn more about Henan and fall in love with Zhengzhou.
郑州市委外宣办主任璩鹏辉在开机仪式现场表示，姓氏文化宣传片《启源故事》将用郑州元素讲中国故事，让世界通过姓氏文化了解中国华夏千年历史，认知河南，爱上郑州。
Zhang Qing, the chief director, accepted the interview and said the 100-episode video would be completed in May next year - just as many Chinese people will know clear their surname origin and where their root is, so too the rest world will know more the generation-to-generation traditional Chinese virtues and the long history of surname culture and the splendidness of Chinese culture at that time.
《启源故事》总导演张清在接受采访时表示，这部100集姓氏文化宣传片将于明年五月份杀青。届时，我们很多中国人将在这部宣传片里找到自己的姓氏来源，找到根之所在;而全世界的观众将通过这部宣传片了解出中华民族历代相传的传统美德，熟悉姓氏文化的源远流长和中华文化的辉煌灿烂。
